Booking Conditions
PAYMENT. Unless otherwise stated, a deposit of £100 of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made 12 weeks before the start of the rental. The balance shall be payable 4 weeks before the commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be deemed as a cancellation of the contract by the client. For bookings made less than 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the rental the total fee is payable. Payments may be by cheque or cash.
CANCELLATION. Any cancellation made by the client for whatever reason shall be in writing and addressed to Iain Morrison at 11 Ralston Path, Glasgow, G52 3LW. On receipt of notice of cancellation he will seek to re-let the property for the period of booking – if he succeeds in re-letting the property for the whole period he will refund all monies paid less an administration charge of £20 per week booked.
In the event of the Cottage being unable to be re-let then all monies paid by the client shall be forfeited. You are strongly recommended to take out Cancellation Insurance.
PERIOD OF HIRE. Rentals commence unless otherwise negotiated at 2.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and terminate at 10a.m. on the day of departure.
NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY. The number of persons occupying the property must NOT exceed SIX.
BREAKAGE or DAMAGE. The client is legally bound to reimburse Iain Morrison for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand.
CARE OF PROPERTY. The client shall take all responsible and proper care of the property. Its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same clean and tidy condition and state of repair and condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.
SMOKING. No smoking is allowed within the property.
PETS. Dogs are welcome on a trial basis by arrangement but must be kept under careful control at all times. Dogs must NOT be allowed on furniture or into bedrooms and no other pets are permitted.
RIGHT OF ENTRY. The property caretaker shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
CANCELLATION INSURANCE. Cancellation Insurance is advised.
LIABILITY. Iain Morrison shall accept no liability to the Holidaymaker for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused to the Holidaymaker or to the Holidaymaker’s personal property.
